Only yesterday we discovered big chips out of our main bath in the bathroom (took 3 1/2 months to notice because we have a bath in our ensuite and dont use the main bathroom bathtub)... Pretty sure the bath was fine, although a better look when it is clean will help. mpcj PCI Today! good luck! Thanks Lisa humpys Richo this is well too many days for us to have to wait to hear how your walk through went. How long till you move in??? Tell us more Haha Lisa, things have been busy, so I will try and summarize the events of friday ... First a couple of pics! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Well PCI went ahead as planned at 9:30am on Friday, was a cracker of a morning weather wise (good natural light for picking defects ) Not many major defects, so the list that goes back to the head office looks reasonably small. The plasterer has a bit of work to do, mainly little dints or lumps, but the joins and patches in the master bedroom are average to say the least. Oh, and the house has a major case of chicken pox, 2 boxes of stickers worth! Paint and moving timber being the majority! (think this might have been damp plaster that has since dried and shrunk) At the moment, the SS thinks it will be about 2 weeks, but I'm going to ask about the infills over the window to be changed (they were talked about at PCI, but not on the list, think it may have to be elevated up the tree a bit ) Time will tell, lets see how we go ... Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes. I'd definitely push for the infills - the worst they can do is say no 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' I'm doing a similar thing with paperbark garage & doors & drk Jasper render to my portico. Not long now hopefully! Mel Re: Richo's C@r@w@y in Doreen - Week 21 - PCI Results!!! 266Oct 27, 2010 10:18 am Thanks Mel, haven't been able to get onto the SS, so will have to wait and see. Was up at the build last night trying to rig the back downpipe to not pool against the slab with the weather forecast for the weekend. Ran into my neighbour who had quotes for fencing! Need to grab copies for reference, and check out the work as one of the quotes (quite cheap) is doing the fence on his other boundary. And the red dots throughout on the paintwork are gone, and there was an empty 20L paint tin out the front. Be interesting to see when they ask me back for another look! Definately starting to feel close!!! Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes. Nearly, however I am still waiting on the Contract Administrator to call me back, the battle for weatherboard/hardiplank cladding has begun handmick Looks great Richo....so glad they did the extra coat of paint for you... How's the sunburn? Sunburn has gone down, doesn't look like it will peel, but give it another week or two to be sure. Best to get a gentle burn early in the season, means that I will be vigilant with the sunscreen for the rest of the summer! Speaking of which, looks like a great afternoon to drive by and check the neighbours fence while knocking back a nice cold beer Some people don't have time to do the job right the first time, but seem to have plenty of time to fix their mistakes.
