Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 23, 2010 8:25 am We're currently building with EB and i want to be able to hang two rows of clothes in our WIR. My CSA is a bit confused when ive asked for the height of the shelf and rail to be at 'double hanging height' Does anyone know the actual height (in mm) that the shelf and rail need to be Thanks in advance Re: Help with wardrobe dimensions - -Please!! 2Feb 23, 2010 8:38 am U may specify to ur builder the top of the hat shelf at 1900mm-2000mm frome the FFL ( finished floor level). This should be enough for double rails ( top and bottom u mean right?) However, it sometimes depends on ur height. Simply do a quick measure by picking a hanger and measure the max height u're comfortable for hanging. If u're tall ( also remember to bear ur partner's height in consideration), u may adjust the hat shelf a bit higher. Re: Help with wardrobe dimensions - -Please!! 3Feb 23, 2010 8:51 am Ours are at 1650mm, which is ridiculous.... wish I'd thought about it before we built. Now we have to rip out the shelf before doing our fit-out, instead of just working around it. 1950mm seems to be about standard for double hanging. Re: Help with wardrobe dimensions - -Please!! 4Feb 23, 2010 8:51 am My WIR has the shelf at 2000mm above floor level. This allows two rows of clothes. Blog is now up - http://www.jbdave.blogspot.com/ Normally you use builders bog. Polyurethane painting is basically the same principle as car panel beating and painting. All the prep work is the same and so is the… 3 3067 Probably a not bad thing to mention particle board should in case anyone else reading this got the two confused. 6 4896 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls.
