Also, did you have to pay an upgrade for the silver window frames? We are still waiting to hear when they take our application to council - 6 weeks Monday since we signed our Initial Works Contract!!!! Good luck with it from here!! We are still waiting to hear when they take our application to council - 6 weeks Monday since we signed our Initial Works Contract!!!! Good luck with it from here!! hi Rebecca, the bricks are PGH greenway. They were an extra $585 per facade. They were supposed to have a bit more grey through them. The roof is monument. The grey of the frames is a standard colour. We did upgrade the front three windows to anodized. When you look at the two the difference in quality is obvious but it was very exy to upgrade the whole house but just front ones were just over $100. There is nothing wrong with you ringing the council to check on progress. Luckily we checked during ours as there is a clause in your contract saying builder can make small amendments as required by council without your permission. The small amendment they made to ours was not suitable and we could quickly stop it from going further. Had we waited for approval to find this out we would have had to go through the process again. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, tiling complete, painting started 103Aug 07, 2010 10:00 pm hahaha I laugh at being excited by the downpipe, but any movement on the house is soooo exciting So if the painters are in.... not much longer then Have you got a handover datE? Re: Anna1, tiling complete, painting started 104Aug 08, 2010 1:48 am No handover date as yet. We are getting our appliances delivered in two weeks and we need to give carpet layers two weeks notice, so we will have to give them a call to find out this week. Our 140 days is on the 17th of September so at the most 5 weeks. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, painting finished, final plumb and electrics 105Aug 14, 2010 7:02 pm Still no idea of handover - I do know PCI is a week before handover, but no date for that yet. Flyscreens went on today - so should be final bits and pieces now. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, painting finished, final plumb and electrics 106Aug 14, 2010 9:00 pm Can't be much longer - down to about 4 weeks now Re: Anna1, painting finished, final plumb and electrics 107Aug 15, 2010 9:05 pm Looks fantastic Anna. Just been checking out my site on nearmap.com I totally didn't know about that site - thanks for the link! Re: Anna1, lights are on, but no ones home - yet 108Aug 19, 2010 10:15 pm Hey bubble-ad, I love near map - unfortunately we didn't get a picture with the frame but thats the price of progress. Speaking of progress, its all happening. The electrician has been and we are now powered up. Our beautiful glass doors have been installed in the kitchen and WIP bench is now in. All sinks/basins, tiles windows have been siliconed. Fly screens went on last weekend. The garage doors were almost put up on Monday, but unfortunately the wrong ones were delivered - we had chosen panel lift but the ones that came out were normal roller doors. Luckily I am extremely nosey and went out and had a look first thing in the morning. The doors were up, but luckily the channels the doors run in were not installed yet. The brackets had to be taken down, so we have a few holes in the bricks but a lot less than we would have had. I love being on site. Apparently new doors will be up to 5 weeks, but we can still have handover even if the doors are not installed. Plumber is supposed to be finished tomorrow, then its just shower screens, towell rails etc and a big clean up. PCI date still TBA but very very soon 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, lights are on, but no ones home - yet 109Aug 20, 2010 12:07 am Great news Anna - you will be in before you know it!!! Five days before handover. It looks like they have attempted to smash it about 4 or 5 times. We are soooo happy we upgraded to safety glass, had we not, they could have accessed inside and have really done some damage. Garage doors are still about 3 weeks away Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, Handover 02/09/10 and broken window 116Aug 28, 2010 11:53 am Darn , but as you say at least they were not able to access your house , because if they were willing to throw a brick at the window a few times it was not a case of "throw brick & watch glass break" but a more concerted effort which they may of tried to continue inside if they got in. Hopefully the builder can fix it before handover If I was to win Lotto, I would build with a different builder, now to win lotto Re: Anna1, Handover 02/09/10 and broken window 117Aug 28, 2010 6:36 pm Exactly, I think they were trying to get in because if they wanted to see glass smash we had cars right next to the glass door which they could have also bricked. They just smeered the windows of the cars with chocolate instead. Yes it was chocolate and yes I was very concerned it was not chocolate when I first saw it. Waste of good chocolate I reckon. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our problem is now, its not technically our house, we have put in a police report but obviously we couldn't ring our insurance company or get it fixed, we also don't have access to the house to make it secure. We have tried to ring the builder but the message says to call back Monday and our SS has his phone turned off on the weekend. So the house is really not secure all weekend, looks like we'll be taking turns at night watch duty. I do not want anything delaying this handover. 2011 Home Sweet Home Handover 03 September 2010 PCI 27August 2010 Plumber 20August 2010 Electrician 19August 2010 Painting 04 August 2010 Cabinets 13Jul2010 Lockup 23June Frame 20April slab 1Mar10 Re: Anna1, Handover 02/09/10 and broken window 118Aug 28, 2010 9:39 pm Grat that your pCi went well!!!!
