Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 19, 2010 11:08 am Hi all...short background Basically it appeared to me the plumbing for the dishwasher was on the wrong side of the kitchen..notified the builder who said it was a prelay and "Any plumbing required for the dishwasher go through this pipe and come out at the sink area. The only thing that is not in the right place at the moment is the waste pipe for the dishwasher and this gets installed once the brickwall goes up, so an acurate measure can be done" Basically they said I was wrong but I'm not. Well now the wall is in and the pipes are underneath the wall...the brickie built around it. I have contacted the builder and will get them to fix it but I was wondering HOW exactly it gets fixed. Any assitance would be helpful. That said, your brickwork looks terrible! The inconsistent gaps look horrendous! As for the brickwork, fortunately the externals are quite good, even if the mix of bricks isnt to great in some areas (thats the risk i took with the brick I chose). The internals vary some work looks really good and some looks like crap - that said as long as they are straight and stay up thats all that matters to me. Just frustrating that I told them it was wrong and they didnt acknowledge it and said no its in the right spot, when clearly its not its out by about 1.5-2metres on the wrong side the kitchen Building "DOMAYNE" through COMMODORE HOMES in Pearsall WA Slab down 15-01-2010 Handover 16-06-2010 viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29049 Re: HELP! - Plumbing in wrong spot - now underneath wall 4Feb 19, 2010 11:43 am I think GSK means the joins between the brick, the mortar. It looks like just in that picture that there is no mortar between them, just brick against brick, they don't line up and there's no mortar between another one of those joins. Just air... The plumbing can be fixed though as said. Cut the concrete, then run the pipe under the bicks to popup inside the house then relay the cut brick. I'd be more interested in getting the brickwork fixed up. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 Re: HELP! - Plumbing in wrong spot - now underneath wall 5Feb 20, 2010 4:59 pm Hey 244sfc, we have the same problem, except the gap in our wall is a brick length wide and about 4 bricks high. We were told the pipe would get relocated. Now we are past lock up, the renderers are in and that gap still remains. It will be one of those things for the Independent Inspector to look at and report on for us.
