Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Bedrock!!!...One month later 321Jul 13, 2010 4:37 pm BTW those "Removable" 3m hooks, don't mean after 3 years , when we were leaving our house in NZ we decided to take down the ones we had put up along the top of 2 walls where we hung the christmas icicle lights at christmas time for 3 years to make it more presentable for sale on the theory they were "removable" about 33% of them worked ok removing, 33% we had a little issue removing them, and 33% of them either ripped quite a bit of wallpaper or wall board when we removed them. So all in all it was not worth doing it. So I would say they probably be good for things for about a year, and for relocating things around the room while you are working on final location, but don't count on them being removable in the long term. If I was to win Lotto, I would build with a different builder, now to win lotto Re: Bedrock!!!...One month later 322Jul 13, 2010 5:21 pm Has it really been a month??? Goodness that has gone so quickly! Glad to hear you are in love with your home & it is everything you wanted it to be - wonderful news. Your build would have to be one the fastest + most positive builds seen on Home1 ~ oh Cazoraz's would come close too. I cannot believe it's one month you're in already! Pretty amazing really. All the best ~ I am sure you are having the best fun living in that gorgeous home! ~ cheers, J _______________________________________________________________ We're a knockdown | rebuild ~ Melb SE burbs Building modified version of the Fairhaven Glenaire Homeone thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28429 _______________________________________________________________ Re: Bedrock!!!...Pics - Excited now! 325Jul 14, 2010 6:42 pm Pebbles OMG we've been here a month already?!?!?! Sorry it's taken so long to get back to everyone ... had some problems with Telstra, yeah I know, hard to believe isn't it so just been popping in every now and then to get my fix There is nothing about my house that I DON'T love ... after waiting for it for so long we're very happy with how it's all turned out. There were a few plumbing issues but HM were onto it straight away ... I was worried that after handover they'd put us at the bottom of their to-do-list but they were so quick to fix any problems we had The house is very livable and is working out exactly how we hoped it would. No landscaping done yet ... we're doing it ourselves and DH only has the weekends, he's been sooooooo busy out there moving dirt and rocks around but still seems like a long process, not really seeing the light at the end of it just yet but we'll get there Once we'd got rid of more cr@p and became more organised I realised that I faced a problem (took me a while to figure it out ) How do I make a house a home????? I associate a home as being a place with a lot of stuff in it BUT I hate having stuff in my house I don't have any of our photos up at the moment so I think that's part of my problem, once all the furniture is where it should be THEN I'll put them up and everything else should just fall into place. Right?!?! Well, that's what I'm hoping for. Okay, I'm off to tidy up so I can get a few pics on here .... back soon Glad to see you are enjoying your new home Cant wait to see piccies! Re: Bedrock!!!...Pics - Excited now! 326Jul 14, 2010 6:53 pm jessie87 Pebbles Okay, I'm off to tidy up so I can get a few pics on here .... back soon Glad to see you are enjoying your new home Cant wait to see piccies! Did I say I was putting pics on here?!?!? Well, here's the thing ... I did actually start taking pics (I really did) but as I was looking through them on the camera I was wondering if I should post them or not (cause they look so freakin' boring ) and then my camera battery died so I took that as a sign Oh ... and speaking of signs ... any notifications I have from my thread keep coming up in my JUNK Mail .... now there's a sign Re: Bedrock!!!...One month later 327Jul 14, 2010 9:03 pm Deemaree Kyndylan Capers: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=46852 My blog: http://www.sufficientlysufficient.blogspot.com/ Re: Bedrock!!!...One month later 329Jul 30, 2010 12:17 am Wheres the pics I love pics..... still waiting Re: Bedrock!!!...One month later 330Jul 30, 2010 1:41 pm Geeze I'm on a roll today ... have taken a heap of pics and started a new thread here viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36509. It's going to have all interior pics of what's been done so far and what I'm HOPING to do Here's a couple I can share on here ... Pool coping finished ... YES we still have the ugly temporary fencing that we have to pay weekly for New fencing can't go up until concrete around pool has been done ... which we can't do until the wall on the otherside is finished ... which we can't do until driveway is done ... and so it goes on and on and on http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj246/kirrabear_2008/Bedrock/Our%20Home/DSCN6125.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj246/kirrabear_2008/Bedrock/Our%20Home/DSCN6126.jpg Our very first (and only ) plant so far ... we were given two ponytails from friends so they are both in front of each pillar of the portico, not much but I was very happy to finally put something in the ground ... We have had so many drama's, like you we have had our land a year and its only now that we are ready to start. It has been no fault of Hallmark though, a part from one little problem at the start, they have been brilliant. I will start our thread tomorrow, was going to do it tonight but pics would not upload.
