Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 17, 2010 1:06 pm Hi all Been following this site for a while now...it really is a wealth of info. Just commenced building a 55 sq house in Brisbane's redlands on an acreage block we have lived on for the past 6 years. Demolished the house that was on it after getting a rude surprise with reno prices , so now we've struck out with plans for a beautiful pavilion style house which will suit the sub-tropical living. House will be rendered commons with 3 m ceilings, tassie oak floors and a large ent area overlooking the pool. Block gets cut this week weather permitting and I hope to have some photos up in the not too distance future on progress. House is progressing well, tomorrow will have the roof trusses finished and preparations made for the roof tiles next week. Weather has slowed us down a touch, but now cracking ahead at full pace. Builder is very impressive (very organised and very pedantic) so over all very happy so far. Will attempt to put up some photos this week as well as the plans. Cheers Re: New house on acreage 10Apr 18, 2010 9:51 pm Looking forward to seeing the progress really nice area at Redlands and the house sounds massive cant wait to see... Hopefully photos soon We are eager to see your plans Re: New house on acreage 14Apr 19, 2010 5:17 pm Hopefully these photo's will work out Ok. First one is a large excavator demolishing our old house, 2 and 3 are photo's from different places on the slab, last one is the back deck prior to fixing on the boat gable and roof... Maybe not...board attachment quota has been reached what does this mean????? Re: New house on acreage 15Apr 19, 2010 5:41 pm Generally you should upload pics to photobucket or flickr or some such website, then link them from there. Will update more info when I'm not typing on my phone =) Re: New house on acreage 17May 17, 2010 7:18 pm You need to save your photos / plan at a smaller size possibly? Mine automatically save into photobucket as medium sized I think - which is never an issue when posting the link here. There is a sticky somewhere with the maximum sizes for all pictures. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: New house on acreage 18May 18, 2010 2:09 pm Here are some photos so far; http://i771.photobucket.com/albums/xx35 ...
