Our Blog - http://fitzy5denverdream.blogspot.com Our H1 link - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=29964 Re: New house on acreage 23May 18, 2010 6:23 pm Once I work out how to get the plans across from pdf I'll put them up Tiles are the Boral Linear "Ebony"....not bad for the look I was going for (shingle style) at a fraction of the cost of true shingles.... Was looking for a balinese feel to the house with 3 seperate pavillions, boat gables and high ceilings...so far so good Re: New house on acreage 24May 18, 2010 7:08 pm Coming along really nicely! I love your verandah posts do you know what they are and what size they are? Re: New house on acreage 26May 18, 2010 7:45 pm Finally here are the plans http://s771.photobucket.com/albums/xx35 ... 4175552731 Pulled in back from 55 square to 52 to save a little, outdoor ent was getting a little big. Posts are 200 x 200 hardwood, not sure of the species. About the same price apparently as having the support made out of bricks and rendered....it suited our house so much better to go this way Plumbing / electrics / alarm / intercom going in now, sheeting next week Re: New house on acreage 27May 18, 2010 7:54 pm jayz Was looking for a Balinese feel to the house with 3 separate pavilions, boat gables and high ceilings...so far so good I automatically thought, tropical island resort as soon as i seen your photos. Please, please keep us updated. I for one, are soooooo excited about your build Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. I mean, a ginger kid with two friends? I bet you're thrilled with how it's turning out. Yes so far so good...... Met with the timber floor guys today and have changed the selection to Sydney Blue Gum, to match in with the posts and front doors.....have gone a satin finish rather than high gloss. Hope this floor add to the wow factor of the house. Bricks (commons) are half done now and sheeting not far away. have to compliment the builder on how organised he is and his attention to detail (even remembering things I bought up months ago, despite the fact he has 6 other houses on the go and the moment). 3ish months to go, sick of renting can't wait...... Re: New house on acreage 34May 26, 2010 1:22 pm Wow what a beautiful house! Good luck with the rest of the build. Bricks are done and rendering has started on the outside walls. Should see timber floors and kitchen placed in the next 2 weeks so overall hoping to be moving in around 10 weeks from now (about 4 weeks before schedule) http://s771.photobucket.com/albums/xx35 ... g&newest=1 http://s771.photobucket.com/albums/xx35 ... g&newest=1 Builder has been great with his info and attention to detail...so far would not hesitate to build with him again..... Re: New house on acreage 37Jun 01, 2010 6:19 pm wow what an amazing home, it is something i envisioned my dream house to be! what a great plan and it looks like your builder knows how to keep to a schedule! I remember the lock up invoice....that one hurt actually they all hurt Goodluck and thank you for sharing your photos of a beautiful, unique build! C01790.jpg http://s771.photobucket.com/albums/xx35 ... C01788.jpg House is a bit more advanced than these photos show, will try and get some of the finished photos up next week All in all, total cost of around $1150 per sqm which isn't bad for 3m ceilings throughout, solid timber floors, led downlights throughout, biocycle system and expensive tiles in all bathroom and kitchen splashback.......we though we'd be up around $1300-$1400 a sqm so the overall price was a pleasant surprise.... 1 4589 Yes well there solution is to blame everyone else while I a 65yr old woman with major medical problems have to just continue to boil water and wash myself in a bucket… 2 16019 If you make sure all taps inside and out are turned off, what does the water meter show if you leave it for a while. 2 20235 |
