Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 16, 2010 9:48 pm Hi all, great forum Well after putting our deposit down on our land in Malvern Springs a few weeks ago we have finally decided on Ultimate Homes as our builder. Have been reading a few threads on here for people building with Ultimate and it has definitely swayed our decision seeing how happy everyone seems to be with them so hopefully we have made the right choice despite them being at the top end of our budget and us having to sacrifice our pool for the better house. So we pay our "deposit" on Thursday and land is supposed to title in April so hopefully by June time we should be well on the way to our house being started. We are building a slightly modified Newport i'll scan the rough plan when I get get a second at work. Looking forward to sharing our adventure with you all !!! We are building in Aveley, just around the corner. I love the Swan Valley - grew up there and can't wait to build and get back into it's great lifestyle. We are building a Custom build with Ventura - are about to book our pre-start for the next few weeks. The tricky part with our build is that we currently live in the Pilbara (mining) so keeping a close eye on the progress is going to be a little hard! I'm crossing my fingers that all goes to schedule and we can be moved in for the kids to start a new school for term 1 2011....wish me luck I've got a feeling I might be dreaming!! Looking forward to following your build. Sonia. Re: Our Ellenbrook Ultimate Home 3Feb 18, 2010 11:52 pm Have signed up today and have got the selection pack which seems quite incomplete its full of lots of brochures but hardly any information about what is included as "standard" and what isnt.... Has anyone else building with Ultimate had this? edit: spoke to the sales guy and they had left out the standard spec sheet, have it now and its made sense of most of it! Re: Our Ellenbrook Ultimate Home 10Oct 05, 2010 3:13 pm Hi ianhutch1, We too are building in malvern springs, but have chosen Commodore Homes for our build. We too live in the Pilbara and finding it rather difficult to make all our choices being so far away! Have completed pre start and slab should go down either later this week or early next. Feeling really nervous about our choices, especially kitchen bench/cupboard colours...but have been told it is too late to change! Where abouts in Malvern springs are you? The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... So awesome to see more MS folk here - i've built on Lomas Circle - about two weeks away from getting my keys for getting really ancy! I work FIFO to be Pilbara and its been a little bit hard being so far away! Thankfully I've got awesome family who would do drive bys every couple days to let me know what's going on.. It has flown though as i've only been able to see it every couple of weeks in the flesh Re: Our Ellenbrook Ultimate Home 15Oct 14, 2010 11:14 am Congrats on your slab and congrats on the preg! My slab sat for 4 weeks before the brickies came. Your lucky wet weather shouldn't affect your build. Re: Our Ellenbrook Ultimate Home - Pad Down 16Feb 10, 2011 5:01 pm Hi Everyone! We are currently building at Malvern Springs as well, at Stoneybend st, the only house standing at the very end of the lot. Although we will soon have a neighbor at the back of the house with slabs now in place. It would be good to be able to meet all of you as neighbors. Slabs started 2nd week of December last year. As of this writing, roof is up and electrical wirings are being installed. Our builder is Homestart. i was told that first inspection will be sometime May but would sure like it much later, around July to time by winter semestral break for the kids. So happy to have found this forum. Will be browsing from time to time for I do have a lot of queries. Talk to you soon!
