Re: Freaked out about toilets? 10Feb 10, 2010 4:27 pm I guess its normal if they need to go, they gotta go and i suppose I would rather that then on my alfresco walls!!! I don't understand people who cant flush or wash hands. It is basic hygiene and also common sense! Well I guess its gloves and bleach for me when we move in! Re: Freaked out about toilets? 12Feb 10, 2010 4:34 pm Ari Jodie, I think you're going to be in for a shock when you move in. Builders clean isn't very hygienic. I had gathered as much Ari... Not going to let it worry me though. Once my tiling is laid i'm going to get a cleaner in there to clean up everything (or, my friend with the loo issues... i'll just let her loose LOL) viewtopic.php?f=31&t=22766 - my build thread! Time waits for no man. Unless that man is Chuck Norris. Re: Freaked out about toilets? 13Feb 10, 2010 4:47 pm Good idea about getting a cleaner in. We have PCI tomorrow. At the moment the floor tiles throughout the house are covered in mud. I'm starting to think I need to take the vacuum cleaner and mop tomorrow. Re: Freaked out about toilets? 14Feb 10, 2010 5:55 pm Stormy another Tradie (completely unrelated to building my house), parked in my street, walked over to my construction site, opened up the temp fence and used the porta loo in the front garden. That's trespassing! Considering there is a servo just down the road I was not impressed and watched in horror (jaw dropped to the ground) as he got in his car and drove off again!! 'My' house is not a public toilet!!! After the toilets are installed in the house, they're meant to take away the port-a-loos. Where else can they go other than the toilet in the house? I just dont like disrespectful tradies. Aaron takes his shoes off when he enters a house for a job. If the house is occupied, he asks to use the loo, otherwise he has to find a public one. Good luck with PCI tomorrow Ari!!! Let us know how you go Re: Freaked out about toilets? 15Feb 10, 2010 8:15 pm I think it is reasonable for people working in your house to use the toilets - I mean, it is their work place, I have toilets at my work place Its really only your problem if they are not clean when you move in Re: Freaked out about toilets? 16Feb 10, 2010 8:21 pm I say please use the toilets... our port-a-loo was there waaaaay after our toilets were installed. I hope our tradies used our proper loo. Those port-a-loos are DISGUSTING. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have to use that... talk about traumatic Re: Freaked out about toilets? 17Feb 11, 2010 6:18 pm Our tradies used ours and there was no water available. They kept using them the result was in describable!!! I am demanding the builder pays for a cleaner before we move in, not their cold water crap excuse of a clean they do pre hand over. I have photos if you really want to see. Also bare in mind occupational health and saftey standards... http://www.workcover.vic.gov.au/wps/wcm ... OD=AJPERES DISGUSTING! This is the current bathroom with a european laundry. Overall internal dimensions are 3.69 wide and 3.65m deep, including the footprint of the laundry.
