Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 08, 2010 7:55 pm We have hit a little hicup. We had planned to have horizontal wire railing with large timber capping, but we where told by the builder today that we are 4.5meters off the ground which is too high for any horizontal railings (by qld regs they can be no more than 4meters) So I am after some alternatives, we don't want to loose the view and the breeze (so glass is out) Any pics or links would be great as we have to go back to the drawing board on this one. Suh I am suprised I thought the glass would block out the breeze, but I better not copy the neighbours our houses will are both already white. Mac64 the vertical looks great. neil_se We ended up doing the same but we are making sure that we keep a big chuncky timber top rail and using pwd coated vertical tubing in woodland grey to match the windows. This in a way may end up being a better solution as much as we loved the wire master 5 would end up climbing it, we have enough trouble keeping him off the scaffold.
