Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 07, 2010 8:42 pm Hi, We are currently in the process of beginning to build and our builder has advised that we need permission from our neighbours to remove the current fence on a temporary basis so they can lay our slab and build and brick the garage wall. The reason this is required is that the Garage wall is going to be 20cms from the fence and access is required to build the wall. My question is what are our rights regarding removal of the fence, we obviously own half the fence. What if the neighbours dont give permission, and further what are our responsibilities regarding safety of the neighbours plot, since the fence will be off for some time.
