Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 06, 2010 9:33 pm Hi, Just a quick update on my house. We receive Building Approval ON 27th January, so it has been with the council for Development Approval for over 1 week. I called last week to check on the update and state to them that according to the legislation they were meant to issue development approval within 5 working days. They made up an excuse and said that due to the work load, they cannot issue the Development Approval within the timeframe. Seriously, what is the point of putting out new legislation if councils are not going to comply with it. Really frustrates me. Anyways fingers cross DA will come through this week and slab will hopefully be down late Feb. Just wanted to ask if anyone know anyone who does sSTORMWATER for a decent price??? Would be greatly appreciated if you could please share with me. Thanks Mai Re: Stormwater - ADELAIDE SA 2Feb 06, 2010 10:46 pm I hope you get your slab down, lucky you are not in Mitcham council area. I have wait any from 8 to 12 weeks for approval. Hello Allyd, well I used to work for the building industry so if you leave it up to the builder they don't really push and chase council for you. I contacted my planning officer at council once a fortnight for update, just be persistence ...that is my recommendation. If you want things to happen quickly, get onto them yourself..it will work every time Mai Re: Stormwater - ADELAIDE SA 5Feb 07, 2010 4:59 pm where in adelaide are you??
