Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 02, 2010 9:14 pm Hi all I'm new to this forum but already finding heaps of great ideas. We are building the Riverton with Carlisle Homes and I am finding the brick selection really difficult! We think we'll go with Austral Nougat. Has anyone else used this brick? Any pics? Some inspiration would be great as to what it looks like on a large scale. Thanks K Re: Nougat bricks 2Feb 02, 2010 9:27 pm I think there is a thread on here somewhere regarding staining on these bricks. I also like them but someone advised me not to get them because the colour is "painted" on the surface of the bricks and in years to come who knows what problems would arise. So I ended up with the "normal" type brick, but I still like the Austral Nougat ones and would be interested to find out lots of info in case I go with them also! We just had a few bricks replaced the other day and colour wise they really standout from the rest of the other bricks. If I knew this was the case I wouldn't of chossen them, don't get me wrong they still look good, but there not the same colour we fell in love with. My opinion go for a darker colour brick and nothing which has sprayed on colour Builder; Big M Design; Soho 32 Facade; Ascent Blog; http://mickeyb-soho.blogspot.com Trend; viewtopic.php?f=31&t=23990 Re: Nougat bricks 5Feb 03, 2010 8:29 am Hi Lots of pictures on my blog (link below) We did have a couple go green but they have since been cleaned.
