My man helped out his sparky on Saturday and they managed to install 50 down lights plus an IXL tastic!! They worked from abou 8:30 until 6:30. By the end they were both delirious so there is one drilled hole in the ceiling in the wrong place but we can fix all those bits up later ha ha! Using the 413's was fine and we were lucky as when in the roof space you can walk around standing up...no crouching down on hands and knees to run the cable. They measure them out drilled the holes then ran the cable through the ceiling holes and plugged in the downlights. We got an absolute bargain....if you want the financial details send me a message Hope this helps Re: WREXTER's BUILD (WA) - Grey Set on - Pics page 29 634Jun 13, 2011 10:28 pm luke81 A tip to avoid your outside lights rusting. Get marine grade and also rub WD40 over the lights every month or so. It stops them from rusting. Instead of WD-40 (which you certainly can use), I'd use CRC 3-36, it's not that dear and a can of it will last you the rest of your life. Every couple of months, a light spray on a rag (buy a large "micro-fibre" cloth from the $2 shop and keep it in an airtight container just for this use) and a quick wipe over the fittings, and "Robert's your mothers brother". !!! When/how did you ask for that, I mentioned something similar at our electrical prestart and they just suggested a few runs of conduit, is that all that is? Re: WREXTER's BUILD (WA) - CEILINGS & WHITESET PHOTOFEST! 639Jun 16, 2011 12:15 pm Reveler Hey Wrexter, whats the go with the "wall box for concealed wiring". When/how did you ask for that, I mentioned something similar at our electrical prestart and they just suggested a few runs of conduit, is that all that is? No. because the entertainment recess is on a double brick wall, all they do is make a square cutout on the wall and insert some wall boxes (plastic) at bottom and mid of wall to give you access to the cavity. After plaster they then put some cover plate, with hole in the middle, on it to cover the rough edges. To be honest i just asked the electrician to do it during construction and he did it for free. he was champ. Joe Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. If you haven't sorted this already you need to caulk this gap. Not sure where you are but if you are in Sydney I can… 5 4424 7 3077 |
