Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Alto Homes - WA 3Feb 26, 2010 3:53 pm Don't really know much about them but I have seen them advertise their plans in the West Australian for quite some time. Their plans seem nice and price-wise seem good too (for a spacious plan that I saw). Maybe email them and ask for a few plans and a spec sheet? We looked at the display home at ellenbrook and thought it was nicely finished and a decent price and we were trying to get some other peoples experiences with these builders. Re: Alto Homes - WA 6Mar 19, 2010 2:52 pm Is there a reason why you decided not to build with them? I am looking at the design for 3 on Ewens. Re: Alto Homes - WA 7Mar 19, 2010 5:17 pm yeah - we had a plan and we were getting a costing from 4 different builders at the time, then the war office decided she liked these guys and their plan more. Turned out it was a slight hiccup and we went back to the original plan and costing. We are now building with switch homes. In the pre start process now. Re: Alto Homes - WA 9Mar 23, 2010 2:35 pm So far they are very good. They were the cheapest builder when comparing apples with apples and stated that they will do anything that we want to the house. We selected them using a pre drawn plan with a wishlist of extras and inclusions. We compared them between DA, Redink, SUMMIT and ventura. We considered these houses to be the best finished houses in our price range. Switch came back with what we wanted with a few extras well under the price of the other builders. When I say well under about 25k under. PM me If you want any more details Re: Alto Homes - WA 10Mar 24, 2010 4:55 am Switch Homes are very good. If we had a bit more dosh to spend we might've considered them. We know two people that have built with Pindan (they were expensive investments) and their finish was quite good with just a few minor things here and there to be fixed. V&R, Switch Homes is part of the Pindan group. Summit/New Gen Homes Slab - 9/4/10 PCI - 13/9/10 Handover - 22/9/10 Re: Alto Homes - WA 11Mar 28, 2010 11:35 pm Thxs abbeybox & phoenixrain. We are looking at some of switch homes design and went to their display home today. We have given the salesguy our details and ask him to let us know whether the company prices individual design. We'll see what he says tomorrow. V&R Re: Alto Homes - WA 12Mar 28, 2010 11:50 pm The sales rep we saw from Switch used to work with our sales rep (and told us some funny stories to question our sales rep with lol). He was honest and easy going, not pushy, and these qualities are hard to find! Let us know how you go. =) Summit/New Gen Homes Slab - 9/4/10 PCI - 13/9/10 Handover - 22/9/10 Re: Alto Homes - WA 13Apr 16, 2010 6:06 pm Hi, Just wanted to post an update. We haven't signed any contract yet but we have met with the Switch home sales rep and we went through all the specs and the extras that we want in the house. The sales rep was very good and went through every details with us. Next time, we meet we'll be signing on the dotted lines. I'm feeling quite excited now. Can't wait for the actual build to start V&R Re: Alto Homes - WA 14May 14, 2010 4:49 pm @ abbeybox and V&R - I'd be interested to know how things are going for you with Sw1tch.
