Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 31, 2010 7:26 pm Hi there, We are looking to purchase a newly build house in south east Melbourne. The builder has used following technique for construction:- 1. Crawl space slab flooring. 2. Weatherboard cladding. 3. Colour bond roof. We would like to know opinion about the construction technique used. We have seen lots of houses around but did not found any new construction with crawl space flooring and weatherboard cladding. Hence would anyone can advice pron and cons of following in long term:- 1. Crawl space slab flooring v/s concrete slab flooring 2. Weatherboard cladding v/s brick veneer cladding Also would like to know opinion about Colour bond roof. Thanks in advance Prajakta Re: Construction Technique Used 2Feb 01, 2010 7:20 am I'd love a colorbond roof, I love the sound of the rain on it The weatherboard would probably be hardiplanks or something I'm guessing which handle the weather a lot better and probably wont need painting for 10-15 years or so 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.'
