Let's hope they get some action going and if Penny os any sort of a good P/A she would have already read your email and possibly notified Jason re the contents.... Get into them Ricci, start stiring them right up! Remind them that word of mouth (and text of forum) is a VERY powerful form of advertising when it comes to building companies!
Metric0n was at the top of my list as building companies before hearing about yours, and others issues with them... Re: Adenbrook VS M3tricon 148Dec 07, 2007 4:15 pm ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Just got a call from our supposed construction manager who had the nerve to give me a bit of his own attitude. He told me that he had spoken to our supervisor and that he had advised he had called us last week; I told him that I hadn't heard from him for 2 weeks and then he said that if it were some of the other supervisors he would believe me...!! I basically ended up raising my voice and telling him that I wouldn't be taking things this far if I had been called and that this is the 2nd time we have been subject to nothing happening for weeks and no phonecalls returned. He then goes on to say that they will pull phone records if they have to - implying basically that he was more interested in arguing about whether someone had called us. He then said that the Brickies are due to be there this weekend but that there is no guarantee. I said to him how long is this supposed to go on!! and then he had the nerve to say: "If you can get me a brickie started there quicker you go ahead and organise it" - I said, "well mate why don't you look at the house 2 doors down from us being built by Hallmark because that started 5 weeks ago and the bricking is finished". I asked him about our completion date of 19/01/08 and he said he doesn't know what the contract details are but if that's what they agreed to then they will work with that. He was basically cocky, unrelenting and only apologised at the very end. But he made it quite clear that there is no guarantee and that when Brickies stuff Metricon around they will have to stuff them around in return??? what the hell is that supposed to mean??? I was beginning to go wild and people in my office were getting concerned, so I just said: "lets see what happens" and then he said "bye, have a good weekend." This is a big warning to anyone thinking of building with M3tricon. If you think you can deal with this kind of crap, go ahead. ![]() Building for the 1st time with M3tricon Site Start was 19th July 07. It's been 2 weeks to Handover for the past 8 weeks. Go figure. We can keep an eye on the building for you if you can't get round there. Just build it the way I want and everything will be okay. Re: Adenbrook VS M3tricon 151Dec 10, 2007 12:41 pm Congratulations BMP! Well done!
I'm so glad to hear everything went well with the building process. I think we can safely say that Adenbrook won the comp over the big M! Do the building companies give a house warming present or anything? Re: Adenbrook VS M3tricon 152Dec 10, 2007 12:54 pm Do they give a housewarming present?? OH YEAH.
Dinner cooked in our house by a professional chef for the 2 of us and 4 friends. Choice of Formal Dinner or Gourmet BBQ. Fantastic!!!!!! Am so excited!!! More about the dinner i think! Am about to add a post with the break down of the handover so people can decide if they want to choose Adenbrook. I would again. Just build it the way I want and everything will be okay.
