Adenbrook VS M3tricon

The race has begun!
Ricci is building with M3tricon and we are building with Adenbrook.
With similar start dates and very close locations (ricci can see our roof from his site - if we had a roof!) we thought it would be interesting to compare the progress and dealings with both companies. This may come in handy for anyone who is looking for a builder in sunny Qld.

So we will update as we go and see who is in their home first

Our start date was the 31st of July. On the 1st of August we went from this to this:

Our site start date with M3tricon was 19th July and on the 4th August we are at this stage...site cut/fill/level, bulk piering, drainers, electricals have been done...

Hmmm, I reckon Adenbrook because they have gone quick as lightning with our house! Only 4 to 6 weeks to go and it only started mid May!

Went to the Block this morning and we have a Slab!!!!!!

Although not far into the process yet - we are pretty happy with M3tricon so far...the supervisor has been great.

Well our house took a total of 19 weeks to build - we have received our handover date - so excited to be moving in in a months time!! Our block was fantastic to work with though, practically flat.

You will have no problem with Adenbrook. They're gonna win :lol:

We went and saw Ricci's slab after our meeting on site with Adenbrook today. It's looking great - the views are stunning.

Movement!! We have piers and the waffle pod supplies are on site along with a toilet. The rock keeps setting the slab time back but maybe next weekend

I am currently building with Met#$con and have just received notice that my house will be complete end of October - that's a 4 month turn around time, pretty happy with that. And too date (touch cold wood) I have not had one single problem and independent inspection report come back all good as well. So my thoughts are Met#$ion may win.

Great to hear your comment Sallyho.. we are also going ahead with M... so far the experience has been good. they have sped up the process and we will be starting in about a month. Good that you'll be moving in before x'mas.

Frame was delivered last Friday. Trusses arrived on Monday and get this: Our neighbor owns the vacant block opposite us and the truck unloaded the trusses onto this block. The neighbor rang up the head office and demanded that the trusses be removed from his piece of dirt. So our supervisor arranged for a crane to pick them up and ended up dropping them 4 doors down the street on another vacant block - the owner was ok with this.

Our supervisor told us that the neighbor has already rang M3tricon 6 times to demand no vehicles ever park or turn around on his vacant block which is nothing more than a piece of dirt.

I hope this is not the sign of a bad start to the neighbor relationship.
