And it was only $29sm although it will cost a bomb to have them laid. I'm so excited. Added to this DH has been taking me around to do some furniture shopping. This is a novelty for me. We still use DH's mothers dining suite from the 60's. The thought of going in and picking something I like out is novel. Anyway, I would take a piccie of the tile however it's huge, heavy and is still in the boot. So it will have to wait. I'm busy having a training day tomorrow and next weekend we're away so we end up racing around to do everything else between times. I guess being busy is good. It's amazing, Dee, carlswill and I have been neck to neck in our builds. When one lags behind the others catch up. We're definitely going tile shopping on Friday. We narrowed it down to 3 but will need to go to Beaumonts in the city. Thanks Jessie for the recommendation of burns for blinds. That's a possibility otherwise it will be sheets. I thought I might go to Spotlight tomorrow and look at some of their curtain material that is coming on sale. I'm getting excited. Sorry Robinred, catching up on posts. Also other option is wait for the Spotlight sale and they also have blinds. If you are interested I can PM you a guys number and he can actually ut blinds to measure up with the window.... that could be another option??? But really in saying that my sis got her blinds from Freedom and did that and we got our blinds from Burns for Blinds and they came to around that same amount and ours are measured to our windows. Re: Robinred's New House, LOCKED OUT! 413Oct 30, 2010 8:06 pm Thanks sleven, Lucene and Jessie, The tiles are neutral creamy colour (it's still in the boot). It is exciting to go furniture shopping. We're from a generation in which most of our things have been secondhand so the thought of picking out something we like that's new is special. 2 years ago I got my very first new tv (the one we had was given to us and was 25yo). The funniest sight was watching DH falling in love with a shabby chic dining table and his comments that maybe we could paint it so it would look so patchy. Jessie, I'm not too worried yet about the windows but we did make a definite decision that regardless of handover date we WILL NOT move before Christmas. It's just too hard to organize getting things installed. This has given us a bit of breathing space. Photos to come when I have a bigger moment than now.
