Re: Robinred's New House, sound insulation, portaloo capers 372Oct 16, 2010 7:13 pm Robinred55 your house is coming along so quickly its fantastic. I hope you are enjoying watching it all unfold and come together, you have waited a long time, but its now happening for real. I can not wait to see the finished product. Re: Robinred's New House, sound insulation, portaloo capers 373Oct 16, 2010 8:05 pm Thank you all for your interest. There's no doubt this house is coming along quickly. We went yesterday and they were almost finished with the gyprock. I imagine the flushing will get done this next week along with us being locked out. We are so impressed as to how quickly things are going but also the quality of the work. Jessie, we're having rendered quoins and they'll be painted classic cream. And I love our front windows. I know it's a more conventional look but that suits us. Today we went shopping and looked at new furniture. It was heaps fun even tho we didn't buy anything we got some great ideas. I will take the camera tomorrow when we go to have a look. Thanks Hoff, you know how long it took to get to this point but it's so exciting now. Whats not so exciting is thinking about packing Handover February 2011 Happy with our home Re: Robinred's New House, sound insulation, portaloo capers 374Oct 17, 2010 3:28 pm robinred55 Thank you all for your interest. DH and I were just reflecting that it was a year ago we found the block and signed the preliminary work agreement. Absolutely thrilled for you guys =) At the rate that hoffs house moved after gyproxk, you should be moving in next week yeah? Thanks SO much for coming to our housewarming/birthday soirée yesterday. Was really, reall, REALLY good to meet you both! Wish I had more time to chat. Has me thinking we should maybe arrange a little SA build peeps get together sometime. Re: Robinred's New House, gyprock pics 378Oct 17, 2010 7:43 pm Thanks Lucene. The classic Creme was a bit of a whoopsie. Originally was supposed to be loam white render and somehow got changed so we're going to have classic cream render, white birch window and white loam vent. It doesn't matter much to me because it's more important to me what is inside the house than exterior. somewoman, we enjoyed ourselves so much and met interesting people and had really interesting coversations. Hey, did you pick up the big philosophical discussion some of the men were having about love and happiness? I had to pinch myself that I was in a group of Aussie blokes. It would be great to have a H1 bbq or something though. Through and through. He also said that he had a wonderful time talking to you, so not a difficult guess I'll see what we can organize. Heading into summer a BBQ is probably just perfect!
