Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 27, 2010 9:43 am Hello all, Our plans have been DA approved ... but now I am in a major dilemma. I hate the colour of windows. It's "Stone Beige" and don't know why i chose that? I now think it would look horrible with my bricks. What should i do ? Speak with the council or live with it ? My external colours : Roof => Bristle Gunmetal Bricks => Austral Symmetry - Asphalt Garage Door => Colourbond Paperbark Windows => Stone Beige Fascia, Gutters, Downpipes => Ironstone Door => Corianthian 6 Light Infynity with Jarrah Stain I should have chosen window colour something similar to gunmetal or ironstone. What do you guys think ! ? Please suggest ! Re: DA approved..but hate the window colours ! 2Jan 27, 2010 3:10 pm I would be contacting your builder to see if the frames have been ordered yet or not and if they can change it to what you want now. Wouldnt think colour change, especially a minor one like window frames, would affect your DA approval, but again check with your builder as they should know whats required. Never be afraid to ask the builder questions, I emailed lists of queries that where fairly basic but was not 100% sure of the answer so i confirmed it with them. You are paying them a fair bit of money so use their expertise and get what u want rather then settling for something you are not happy with. Hope this helps a little.
