Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Jasper Colorbond roof and Boral Coco bricks - any pics? 2Jan 25, 2010 10:06 pm MrsSusieD We're in the process of choosing our exterior colours and was wondering if anyone had any pics of a Jasper Colorbond roof with Boral Coco bricks? Thanks in advance. Any pics of the Coco bricks? Just had a look on the Boral website and couldn't see it. We have Jasper roof, but have "Graphite" coloured bricks. Thought they might be similiar but think Coco would be darker than Graphite. Ooh - I just looked up Graphite and it's lovely! Would you mind sharing a pic? http://www.boral.com.au/productcatalogu ... roduct=256 Thanks so much! Re: Jasper Colorbond roof and Boral Coco bricks - any pics? 4Jan 25, 2010 11:46 pm No problems with pics. I have found a few that were taken during construction stage (nearly 3 years ago now) All other pics I have don't really show the Jasper colour of the roof due to camera angle, time of day and shadowing etc, but hopefully you can see the colours cleraly enough. All eaves, doors and facia etc are "Paperbark" colour. And if the bricks look as if they have white blotches through them, its because they hadn't been cleaned at this stage. Once cleaned they look like the photo of the front of the house. I thought the Coco colour bricks would have been much darker than I had imagined, I quite like it. Cheers Re: Jasper Colorbond roof and Boral Coco bricks - any pics? 5Jan 26, 2010 9:15 am Ohhhhh I think that would look really nice! What colour downpipes etc will you have? Dune? My last house had a jasper roof and we had paperbark render... I wish I went with Dune back then, but looking back, it wasnt so bad. I cant beleive how many nice bricks there are out there, these look gorgeous! Re: Jasper Colorbond roof and Boral Coco bricks - any pics? 6Jan 26, 2010 9:32 am Ms Builder What colour downpipes etc will you have? Dune? Downpipes ended up being paperbark as well, but the more I look at them the more I dislike them, they just stand out against the brickwork. When I find a colour that blends in with the bricks a bit more I'll try that, but at this stage its not high on the priority list. If you hang on till tomorrow, I just might be able to get a pic of the neighbors house down the road. They also have Jasper roof and what looks to be paperback trim as well, but their brick is slightly different to ours and maybe even closer to the Coco colour your after. Ours are more of a light brown / tan colour where theirs are have more of a grey shade to them, not sure if it is excactly the Coco colour but won't be far off. Also consider the colour of the mortar. We had ours done with off white (which seems to be all the rage these days) instead of the std grey, but it costs a bit more. Off white tends to look better with lighter and more neutral colurs whereas the std grey mortar looks better with the darker bricks, in my opinion anyways Cheerio Your house roof does not show rusting other than some surface rust on the flashings. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10321 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 19210 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2964 |
