I mainly noticed it at the start of the estate near the freeway...but as we got deeper into the suburb it became pretty, just like yours The road to success is always under construction House completed April 2011 - slowly making it a home... Re: Shon's Shanty - Did some artwork!! 1902Apr 08, 2011 9:18 am Shon I think I read somewhere that when you paint the canvas you have to take the tape off straight away before it dries to prevent it bleeding. I know that doesn't really help now... but for future reference haha Built with RedInk Custom 5000 Key Handover 15/12/2009 Re: Shon's Shanty - Look who got a gate :) 1903Apr 08, 2011 11:56 am Haha thanks Ref. Ill note that for next time. I finally found the material i like for it (basically the same as the painting i did) was going to re-cover them because the paint bleeding looks untidy.. good fun tho Thanks Zarli, trying to keep it alive, the matt-rush plants at the front are going well.. I am saving for some more plants behind them but cant plant them till the render is done (who knows when thats due to be done) Need to more my frangipani tree tho. How are things your end Zarli? & Ref, whats news? Plants are soo expensive aren't they...I think our garden will be a 2 year project as we cant afford plants at the moment Where have you been getting yours from? No news - started work on the garden and am sick of raking up rocks/rubbish/builders rubbish. I find more every time I am out there. If it rains on the weekend I can't see I will get toooo much done. Not very good, cause I was looking forward to making my weekend off a productive one. Congrats on keys Zarli!! It sort of looked like a bird had flown into a window?? I noticed your comments re; plants. If you can be bothered for the treck, visiting placing like Landsdale plants and even benara nurseries are well worth the trip to save money. But I would assume you would only want to do this if you were buying a decent amount of plants. Benara nursery supply bunnings, and most of the nurseries in town. If you have a look at their website you can get a trade card, if you have an ABN or know anyone who does. I think this can save you about 20%. I haven't been out there myself yet, so I don't know a lot about it. Sorry Also, make sure you keep receipts, most nursery's replace your plants if they die within the first 6 months. I know what you mean about local nurseries though. Dawsons on South street are really great for advice. They specialise in WA natives too, so you have a good change of a hardy thriving garden that the native birds love. goodluck - I can NOT wait for planting stage so I am VERY jealous!
