Re: HELP! Advise on bathroom tiles that has been laid! 25Feb 05, 2010 3:06 pm G_girl Zedman Yes the lipping looks bad. Is that lipped tile near a drain...? As some inexperienced tilers find it harder to get a fall with a larger tile and can lead to bad lipping if the layout isnt planned right. Not that that is a problem with 300x300...any bigger than 330's then it is not possible. Unless there is sizing in the tiles, there is no need for such a larger joint and it being irregular. Also if the same tile is on the wall there joints should be uniform. As long as its the exact same tile from the same batch. Cheers Charlie Hi Charlie, Well one is near the drain and the other isnt...but those are just 2 shots. There are other areas around the ensuite with the same issue and its not near the drain. Yes the tiles are the exactly the same from the same batch. So is it arguable with the supervisor to have it redone you think? Heyy..i spoke to the SS and he has agreed to redo the tiles where the lipping is bad. however he seems to think that the distance for between the tiles are crucial because it has to slop towards the waste drain. I have spoken to the tile shop and they said it can be done close.
