Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 20, 2010 10:14 am Hey everyone, We are building a house and have decided on Aubergine coloured bricks. I have seen it used well a couple of times and each of these times they have used white window and door frames and a light, almost white, roof. Now for the hard part - the front render colour!! I am struggling to find a good colour which wont look bizarre with the white window frames. I have been driving around the streets like a mad woman trying to spot a light coloured render with white window frames and nothing! If you have used a similar colour scheme, I want to see it! Looking forward to seeing some great pics. Thanks guys Leah Re: Aubergine Bricks... I want photos! 2Jan 20, 2010 10:39 am Have you looked at the single storey Rendition display home being built at Lightsview? They have used Aubergine with black windows and dark tiled roof. Their render colours are very dark brown/grey/purple (perhaps Solver Elephant) and a lighter beige brown (perhaps Solver Hawk or Dune). Re: Aubergine Bricks... It does look good, but to be honest I love the colour scheme of the single story Medallion one in Lightsview! Im just scared that an almost white render might look a tad strange on our narrow house Re: Aubergine Bricks... I want photos! 5Jan 20, 2010 12:12 pm LOL!!! Well done =) What is the insulation value of those bricks? I would be wary. Is you site demilished but nothing else done? Sounds like liquidity problems to me. Our builder did the same. Got hundreds of thousands of dollars of… 2 15401 Sounds like rubbish to me. Ask for the contamination report which I doubt they have. If it's part of a normal subdivision it would have had a contamination report done… 9 5645 |
