Most volume builders will not include concrete in alfresco's so if it doesn't say concrete on the plan assume there is no floor. Don't fall for the "Freebies" scam Re: Pinky & Brain's Burbank Ascent 25 the dirt has a tap:-) 65Mar 22, 2010 9:10 am Quote: I'd double check that you have concrete even? My Aunt works for glazier so we opted for her to do it, hell of a lot cheaper than Burbank's quote which was about $3.500 I think. Quote: Same as me! And as I promised a a little info for splashbacks. SPLASHBACKS Normal Glass- Is great for dark colours on dark colours it will make the paint colour look darker, if you choose light colours you will see a greeny bluey tinge. Opti Glass- This is a low iron glass. Dark colours will show up a little darker but not as dark as if you put them on normal glass. Is ok for light colours but your best option is starfire. Starfire- Highly recommend if you are choosing a light colour splashback or a metallic or pearl colour. example. This dulux Hot Lips on the 3 different glass types. Some can pick up the colours around them eg red pots. When choosing metalics and pearl it is ideal that you only have the 1 splashback and not have splashback on the sides. example Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ This colour will look brown in certain lights and in others silver. But if I wished to have another splashback to the side like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ then I would only see the silver. 1 last tip it is cheaper to have just a straight piece a glass as opposed having it cut into a T like in this pic Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: Pinky & Brain's Burbank Ascent 25 site start booked 4 A 78Apr 04, 2010 10:48 pm Hey pinkdiamond, great info there on the splashback options. Did you settle on the metallic splashback ~ the FX standard was it? Are you going around a corner with your splashback? Happy Easter! ~ cheers, J _______________________________________________________________ We're a knockdown | rebuild ~ Melb SE burbs Building modified version of the Fairhaven Glenaire Homeone thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28429 _______________________________________________________________ Re: Pinky & Brain's Burbank Ascent 25 site start booked 4 A 79Apr 05, 2010 7:45 am Hey VT The Fx is on starfire and I won't be going around the corner with it as I will only silver and not lovely brown it can be. She said she won't seal the back of it for us, making it easy to change the colour if in 10 years we have grown out of it . At this point in time the FX is our favorite. Going around her house you can see the splashbacks change. Her kitchen is antique white usa on opti (I think) and bathroom is the same on normal. The kitchen this morning it looks grey slighty bluish but later it will be white. While the bathroom has a greenish tinge this morning, once I bath the kids tonight it will look very light baby blue colour . http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: Pinky & Brain's Burbank Ascent 25 site start booked 4 A 80Apr 05, 2010 9:20 am love the metallic splashback, we're going the metallic warm choc brown colour, cant wait for it to arrive!!
