Very very long time coming! We should start building in a month or two. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 515Nov 20, 2015 10:21 am Hi this is a helpful thread for me. I am looking at buying in saltwater coast but have no idea. Currently living in one of the new estates in sydney 30 minutes from the city and i think for us to enjoy the benefits of the increase property value we need to sell it and buy again but sydney is way too expensive now and don't want to move further away from the city. I really hope for a lesser stress lifestyle and less mortgage to worry. I have 3 children under 7 and want to enjoy time with them rather than work all the time. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 517Feb 29, 2016 4:28 pm cjs777 Hi all, Our land titles in June later this year, we are stage 18 and we will be building with Porter Davis - Waldorf 48. Look forward to hearing everyone's progress. Congrats on your proposed build. Waldorf 48 is really nice. June is not too far away, your house might be ready for christmas if all go well. We just started building in upper point cook, it's nice seeing something happening after waiting for 14 months for our land to title. All the best with your build. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 518Apr 11, 2016 4:56 pm Hi all.. @ those who are still building- hows you build coming along? and those who have moved into their homes already- hope you are enjoying them Its been a while since I posted on this forum. the land title got delayed and finally we got the title in Nov and then we got stuck as PD had originally a huge round water tank and it didnt meet the dev guidelines and then for them to change that to a slimline one on the plan, getting it approved and starting the build took 3 months . at last we've got the ball rolling and now we have completed the frame stage. we met the SS and he seemed nice. Got a call last week that essa stone is discontinued and had to reselect the stone. Fingers crossed that now things go smooth. bb123, we are also on coast watch road . Is your house ready? have you moved in? Robzca, how far have you come along? Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 520May 24, 2016 11:38 am G'Day Everyone, Booked a lot for Stage 28 back in December, and the sales guy told me that the land will be titled sometime end of 2016. And when I looked at their website, the time has changed to 1st Quarter 2017. I have reason to believe that the land title release will be further delayed, so I'll be looking at between 15-18 months from the date I put down a deposit for the land to be titled. But I would like to find out from fellow SWCers, how long did you wait for your land to be titled? Price has gone up considerably here too. A friend who bought their land 1 year before me paid $250-280k, mine was between $340-380k, and for new releases, the price has gone up by another $20-30k. Because of the land price, guess I have to go with single storey homes with fewer upgrades due to budget contraints Building Standards; Getting It Right!
