Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 18, 2010 1:06 pm Hi, I thought I would start a thread for all the salt water coasters out there (if there is anyone!) We have bought in the second release and hoping to get the title in March (anyone know if this still holds true?) But the hunt for the perfect home plan continues! Pravvy. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 2Jan 21, 2010 3:49 pm Hey this is a great idea… I’m not sure what second stage you are referring to, I bought my block in the Promenade stage II and expecting to title in March hopefully!!!... I’m not sure if this will stay true, I made a visit last weekend and noticed the first 2 stages the Lifestyle and Heartland had the street lights up which could indicate that they are ready to be or has titled!! But toward the promenade section there is still heaps of work to be done!! Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 3Jan 21, 2010 7:12 pm Not coaster but a Point Cooker... lol Welcome to the forum. If you built the right house (double story) in the right location you would probably get some nice ocean or city views. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 4Jan 22, 2010 8:38 am hi Akiva and ZeroSignal! I bought in the Heartland Release (josh such a long time ago!) Yes it does look like it is almost ready but I was told that the first four releases will be titled together. I am not sure how true that is as you are right Heartland looks like it is almost ready to go. They have taken their own sweet time though! My friend bought in the Lifestyle release in Dec 2008. And she's still waiting for the land! ZeroSignal, yes that's what i'm hoping for. I am going to build a double storey but I don't know if I get any views once all the houses will be built up. *Fingers Crossed that all houses around me are single storey!* Pravs. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 5Jan 22, 2010 5:12 pm I bought mine late last year... Good luck with your building plans, I was keen to build a double as well but it was a bit of a struggle to work out something within our tight budget so we shifted to single which is not too bad =).... it will be awesome to get ocean or city view though... So what are people thoughts on the value of this estate? has it gone up? My broker just lodged my evaluation application and I’ll know the result next week... has anyone done this yet? Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 6Feb 01, 2010 9:17 am I did this as soon as I bought it so don't think it would have changed. But given that they are taking soooooo long i'll probably end up doing it again! Let me know how yours goes though. They are selling my size blocks for about 30K more than what I paid for so I'm pretty happy! I bought in the Heartland Release in Saltwater coast as well, I am going to building the single storey because of limit budget. I was told that the first four releases will be titled together as well from the developer manager notify. Also How's your evaluation result from your bank? And Good luck to all of you. Guess what I just got a letter saying that development of the land is complete and be prepared to get my finances in order for a March settlement! Did you guys also get this? I was hoping they delay it a little bit more ah well...... Pravvy. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 11Feb 19, 2010 10:56 pm Hi to All neighbours! We have also purchased in the promenade release(Waves Drive). Received the letter today re:title in april. I hope this is true, looking forward to building asap. Good Luck to you and hope to keep in touch via the forum throughout the building process. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 12Feb 22, 2010 9:40 am Hi Saltwatercoaster! Welcome to the forum. Damn! I want it to title at the end of April (wishful thinking!) as I still haven't organised a builder or design. Ah well. How are you guys going? Are you all just waiting for titles to start? Pravs. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 13Feb 25, 2010 6:52 am Hi Pravy We have began looking at house designs. Still a little unsure about a few things re:house plan. Should have a better idea in the next few weeks. How are you going? Also my builder have sent the plan to the design review committee and got the approval last month. I am organizing the finance now, hopefully can get approval in next two weeks. I would like to start construction ASAP because I need to get the FHOG, and I signed the building contract on Sep last year. United International Investment Investment Property Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 15Feb 28, 2010 6:04 pm Hi Saltwater Neighbors.. . i bought a land at Wetland land release 2 (Stage 5) Its good to hear that some lands will be titled in April. But I was there a few weeks ago and there is no finished road from the main road. Does it mean they are going to title without the road been completed and link to the main road. Will we incur additional cost for building if road works are not complete for our estate? Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 16Mar 01, 2010 10:19 am Hi Guys! We are going through the house designs as well for the last few months. Nothing has struck us as our 'dream home' so we are probably custom designing and using a small builder. As for the roads, the main road has opened up until our block. we drove all the way right to our block. I think you cannot title without the basic provisions (such as a road). Pravs. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 18Mar 02, 2010 9:32 am Oh you mean pointcook homestead road. That road is not part of the development. It is a 'normal' road and the developers have taken it up with the council to get that road laid. I am assuming it will be done in due time. but when I'm not sure. Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 19Mar 04, 2010 6:13 pm Thanks for sharing this info.Pravvy . I thought that it is part of development as it is so hard to get to saltwater coast estate on the rocky road .. ..The view of city from swc is so nice and beach within walking distance or two minute drive.. i am surprise that not all the lots are sold...Maybe cos there is no infrastructure build yet.. what do you think? Re: Building in Saltwater Coast - Point cook 20Mar 09, 2010 12:50 pm I hope so! I am counting on the land prices hiking up as soon as the infrastructure is laid and display village is built! I am not 100% sure of the views. They are great but once all the houses come up? ah well I'm just hoping it will be still there and I can admire it rather than curse everytime I have to drive up to the station!!
