Granted, there are a bucket load of negative comments and gripes that people have with S!/\/\onds. Which for me, being our 2nd home (1st one was with Big M), was a little daunting reading much of the posts on here with regards this company. But here is so far my positive feedback (for once) with 'S':
Despite the Sales Consultant being a motor mouth, we had the rest of the sales advice prepared by the regional manager. Helpful, responsive and friendly. When passed onto and assigned a CSO - I can only hope that each respective CSO is as brilliant as this lady. She's provided us with draft copies of our floor plans prior to contract stage, so I can ensure that at least the plans are 100% correct...elminating the potentiall need for 'S' to make corrections after the contract date.
With regards to the contract, even though they don't allow unsigned contracts to be taken home, all it took was to ask nicely (more so a staight up refusal to sign the contract on the day) to which 'S' agreed that we could indeed take the contract home for review.
All in all, they seem to be quite accomodating to our requests and very responsive to our queries. Maybe due to the fact we are quite proactive in 'assisting' 'S' with getting things right (eg: pre-checking and correcting the floor plans pre-contract).
My word of advice, don't be deterred by many of the negative comments on here. It's your money, your house. Try to assist 'S' and be proactive. Ask to look at the plans prior to contract. Do your color consultation homework and go into the consultation prepared. I keep advising 'S' that all I'm trying to do is make everyones life easier...to which I think they are respectful of that.
So far, so good. Who knows, the rest of the process might be a prick and not go our way, but up till this point...I'm very pleased with the way things are going.
Cheers
