Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 17, 2010 7:30 am Hi everyone, Our brand new home is well underway at the moment. The construction of walls, bricks, etc has been completed, the house is at lock up stage and the builders are decorating the inside of our house. But I love looking through everyone elses threads, so I thought I would make my own. Our new home is in Lyndarum. And while it wasnt ours from the beginning, coming into a place that is not quite finished, in another state. and over Christmas no less is a little stressful. I have already had countless arguements with the builders over render colours, tiles, bath placement and countless other things (more of this to come when I have more photos ). We bought a house from an independant, registered builder. These pictures were taken on Boxing Day last year. Re: Z's new home, Lyndarum Estate 3Jan 17, 2010 12:04 pm Oooo this is the best bit I reckon! I love seeing the interior come to life. Those cupboards are an interesting break from the current solid-colour laminates that are popular My furniture from IKEA is a similar colour to them, it ties in beautifully with all light and bright colours so good choice Re: Z's new home, Lyndarum Estate 4Jan 17, 2010 7:15 pm Thanks Dollar and Vundaful!, I love our cupboards. Looking forward to be able to cook in their in 5 weeks. Most of our furniture is the cream or darker wood, so Im hoping it will match. Otherwise I think we will be doing some shopping. Does anyone have any recommendations for a fly screen/security door company in the north? We need to get them installed as soon as we move in.
