Re: n&n02 - Follow us as we build our new home!! 3Jan 16, 2010 8:59 pm Hey, looks good, your plan is quite different from the (many) others I've seen... It's a pain getting the plans right hey. Have you thought about combining the fridge recess and pantry? How big's your block? Got any elevation pics of your house? Bricks or render?? Tin or tiles??? ... Haha, thought I'd get in early... Did you end up changing anything on your plans? Hi Vundaful Nothing major, we have: -put a cavity slider on the laundry -fiddled with the laundry/broom slightly -decided to leave linen as is -walk in robe wall centred & will have dual entry -increased the size of the window above the shower in the ensuite, to allow more natural light in Currently working out if we will put some insulation bat's in the western walls during construction. Help us choose some roof facia colours here- viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28421 Thanks Re: n&n02 - Follow us as we build our new home!! 5Jan 16, 2010 9:41 pm westy Hey, looks good, your plan is quite different from the (many) others I've seen... Tin or tiles??? ... Haha, thought I'd get in early... Ok...Bricks with some bagging and quoining on the facade, with colourbond roof. Elevations to follow once we can scan them to image files. Hmmm, not sure what you mean with the fridge... Block is 600, but we have lost some room with the walls either side so it's a little tight. But less grass to mow... Mr N. I meant remove the wall between the pantry and fridge, and hide the fridge away in an extended pantry. I'll see if I can upload a sketch if you like. I meant remove the wall between the pantry and fridge, and hide the fridge away in an extended pantry. I'll see if I can upload a sketch if you like. That is possibe. But we prefer to keep the fridge where it is. But it would make it easier if you were in the pantry and needed something out of the fridge. Thanks for the suggestion. It is such a long and drawn out process that we wanted to track everything and we thought our own thread would be the best way to do it! All the best with your build as well! Re: n&n02 - WHICH COLOUR OPTION WOULD YOU CHOOSE - scroll down 15Feb 05, 2010 10:06 am I'm not sure whether to do a light roof with dark render and garage OR a darker roof with light render and garage. We want our colours to be as streamlined as possible as there is a lot of detail in our front facade. Opinions please, what did you choose and what do you think looks best??? I can't decide on anything and am getting so stressed with these colour decisions Our options are: Option 1 - Light roof - darker render: Roof - Colourbond Surfmist Gutters - Colourbond Surfmist Fascia - Colourbond Dune Garage - Colourbond Dune Render - Solver Hawk Windows - Pearl White Bricks - PGH Moondust Quoining - PGH Crevole Mortar - Off White raked Timber Slats - Hmmm, colour to be decided Option 2 - Darker roof - ligher render (not sure if the Crevole quoining will stand out) Roof - Colourbond Dune Gutters - Colourbond Dune Fascia - Colourbond Surfmist Garage - Colourbond Surfmist Render - Solver Broken Stone Windows - Pearl White Bricks - PGH Moondust Quoining - PGH Crevole Mortar - Off White raked Timber Slats - Hmmm, colour to be decided Re: n&n02 - WHICH COLOUR OPTION WOULD YOU CHOOSE - scroll down 16Feb 05, 2010 10:18 am option 1 imo http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: n&n02 - WHICH COLOUR OPTION WOULD YOU CHOOSE - scroll down 17Feb 07, 2010 9:51 am Hello n&n02 Finally a building thread. Just came across it now. I go for Dune. Dark looks better with light bricks. Surfmist is my second choice but will become dusty soon i think. All the best. Re: n&n02 - WHICH COLOUR OPTION WOULD YOU CHOOSE - scroll down 18Feb 08, 2010 5:56 pm Hello, thanks for responding to my thread (we are the family in warner lakes). I can't remember the stage we are in now, I think I had the wrong one in my thread, I'll pm you the street name!! ok, for your question - dark roof, lighter render imo Having said that, I can't see or find the colours you are talking about so it's hard for me to really give a good opinion. Do you have any links? a question for you, where did you send your covenant approval? I have the peet po box but not sure if that is the right place. did you jsut put a little note in there saying the plans were for approval? who are you building with? you probably have said it already and I've missed it. I'm one of those people that can't see the honey in the cupboard when it's right in front of my face... anyway. you msut be excited re your start date. we haven't done anything with colours or anything yet. maybe this weekend we will pick. it's a time thing. Some (small) Progress!! 19Mar 04, 2010 3:27 pm Hi everyone! Just a small update as we have now officially signed our building contract and our plans are in Council awaiting approval – finally!!! Can’t wait to start – we just want our new home now! It’s been a loooong process to get to this stage, hopefully it’s smooth sailing from here.
