Like what u have done in the laundry and the alfresco. Yes plants will definetly bring some colour to the front landscape. Doggy is sooo cute:) Re: n&n02 - Front facade got painted today - Yay!! 482Sep 16, 2010 7:34 am Kaytee I love the colours on your facade. Much nicer all rendered. They have done a brilliant job. Laundry looks so nice, neat and bright. Thanks Kaytee. I randomly chose the outside colours myself. The painter phoned me up and said he was at the paint shop ready to order the paint to start first thing on Monday . I had some ideas in my head and tested a few samples on the unpainted render but didn't know how it would all turn out. Luckily it looks okay. Facade colours used if anyone is interested: Roof - Surfmist Garage - Surfmist Gutter/Fascia - Dune Windows - Pearl white Render - Dune 1/4 (we only get the morning sun on our facade and it is shaded all afternoon so we can get away with a light colour) Quoined bits - Dune full strength Slats/Door - Jasper Lucene Your house is beautiful on the inside and now is beautiful on the outside Everything looks amazing, can't wait till the front landscaping is done, and we have some piccies Thanks for your kind words Lucene - that's really nice ! I will definitely be posting lots of pics of the landscaping which is being done after the driveway/concreting gets done which should be today. They were supposed to start the form work yesterday but no one showed up. . Hopefully we have better luck today and the work gets started. Deemaree That is such an improvement! Thanks Dee. I love render and finally convinced my DH to do full render across the front (he's not so much a render fan but has now been persuaded cos he loves the facade now too!!). 2pais Your facade is looking really good N. Like what u have done in the laundry and the alfresco. Yes plants will definetly bring some colour to the front landscape. Thanks 2pais. Once the driveway goes down I'll have a better idea of where to place the plants etc. I have a few ideas from seeing other people's plants of some I might want, but it's so hard to choose... 2pais Doggy is sooo cute:) LOL - Our dog is loving going for walks down to the lakes. So nice where we live hey - we are really liking it!! Re: n&n02 - Front facade got painted today - Yay!! 483Sep 28, 2010 12:47 pm Looks amazing! Thanks for the pics! Just waiting on the turfing (hmmm, was meant to be today they said ) and then we're all done. Yay!! We're loving the plants they chose for us as I specified I wanted more "traditional" type plants even though this will mean lots of maintenance for DH!!

I'm having a similar scenario - mine is 5:1 - meaning 1 meter high in 5 meter long from the footpath. How do you find it getting in and out - any problems? Ta Thanks DH believes the driveway is 5:1. We have experienced no problems at all getting in and out of our driveway. We made ours extra wide too so we can fit two cars on there Re: n&n02 - Some new pics - facade and gardens 497Nov 08, 2010 10:30 am Deemaree Looks great- you must be pleased! Thanks dee - we are very pleased with the result!! mpcj just gorgeous.... So happy that you are in and that you are happy! It's brilliant to see it all coming together. Thanks. We didn't realise how much there would be to do after we moved in . It's all getting done though - slowly but surely - and we have definetely mastered the art of patience - lol! flagstaffIV The grass makes such a big difference WOW!! HTB is abit jealous... Thanks flaggy . We can't take any credit apart from giving them ideas of the plants we wanted. We got all our front landscaping done through our developer, it was part of a package deal they have for people when you purchase your block of land. We got front landscaping, all side and rear fences and cash rebate if you comply with all covenant approvals and build within 12 months of settlement of the land. They did a wonderful job for us!! Re: n&n02 - Some new pics - facade and gardens 498Nov 08, 2010 10:32 am Thanks n&n02 I’m so glad to hear that 5:1 doesn’t present a problem for you... it does put my mind at ease... although I didn’t ask what type of cars you have . Our driveway is exposed agg as well and slightly over 5m wide but the footpath is sloping further across the 5 m driveway width so we asked our SS to discuss with the Shire and see what we can do to slightly re-align the footpath so the drop is gentler. BTW I love your white agapanthus as well and the fact that you kept the planting scheme all the same – it makes the garden much nicer. Good luck with it all. As I mentioned DH thinks we have 5:1 and we have no problem whatsoever with ours. Not sure where I can confirm the 5:1 though. I checked our invoice from the concretor and all it says is “91 sqm of exposed aggregate concrete poured to driveway and side path with F72 steel reinforcing throughout”. So this isn’t of much help to you either. Re: n&n02 - Some new pics - facade and gardens 500Nov 08, 2010 3:33 pm Thanks n&n02 - the gradient is not stated anyway unless you ask for. We did ask as our building inspector made a note in the inspection report and based on his measurements he noted that it might be slightly greater then 1:5 so I asked the builder to confirm that the transitions/gradient can be done so we don't end up scrapping the driveway/cars.
