My last post was late September Early October and I was so positive things were moving on and then it all came to a shuddering stop!
The shire didnt want to pass the pool because they didnt understand the engineering behind it. The house plan had to change to suit their requirements so back to the shire we go. Finance was put on hold ... everything was put on hold but now ... end of November the pool was finally approved, the house was reapproved and contracts were signed.... then early December we put in for finance and oh yes.... we are still waiting for the banks to get their acts into gear.... I swear I want to crawl into a ball and cry. Why does it take 4 weeks to get fianance approval... hurry up for gods sake I want a slab by the end of Jan!

Its happening - its really really happening
Yesterday my block was pegged out - i am pretty damn excited - its been 13 months of planning and something has happened on my block.... admittedly its only a few stick with ribbon on them but hey... its more than there was 13 weeks ago let alone months ago...
I am also happy to announce that my block is due to be cleared on Friday... thats right block clearance happening on Friday - this is the exciting bit.... and the retaining wall should be done so its go go go....
A few little pics of the exciting event... note on this first one the right hand side of the pic is perfectly clear and flat... that is not our block. Oh no ... we are the pile of sand on the right...
And just to add a bit more excitement to the post tell me what you think of this balcony... I swear this is something I aspire to.... a real architectural wonder!

Congratulations Miss V on your pegging.
We are getting pegged tomorrow (after a tiny 20months of paperwork) so I was excited to see your pegs so I know what to expect.
Fancy that, two V's building at the same time...I will definately keep my eyes on your thread as your house plans look fantastic.

So exciting for you - 20 months would have killed me I swear.... I have had a quick look at your page and cant wait to see things start happening.
In other good news it looks like tomorrow will be the start of operations block clear.... all very exciting stuff.
AND the mysterious pool company have finally contacted me saying the will be putting the pool in next week.
Cant wait to see some things happening all round actually!

Thanks Miss V. We have pegs too now...pretty pink ones
I have fixed up my signature with a link to my original thread which has my house plans/selections on it. I felt I needed to start a new thread as the frustrations of 20 months of paperwork was morphing me into a real negative Nancy
I couldn't resist it either so have posted a few pics of my pegs too!
Awesome about the site scrape 2moro...I know I don't HAVE to ask but I will....pics, pics and more pics please
