Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 15, 2010 12:02 pm Hi All, Hopefully someone out there can assist. I am building in Baccus Marsh, on a 900 square block. The house is 32sq (14.6m W x 25m D) and has fall over the buiding envelope of 2 meters. Unsure as to the classification of the soil at this stage. The fall goes from front right to back left 2m and front right to front left 2 m Given the above is anyone alle to "guestaimate" an approximation of additional slab costs. In the building contract it allows standard falls etc 300mm and "M" class slab. Also given the fall would it be more economic to look at a split level floor plan, I am assuming that this would minimise the sub floor costs. Any help or advise is much appreciated Thanks Wayne Re: Slab Costs for Site witl Fall 2Jan 15, 2010 2:33 pm A very useful thread to read - search -what were your site costs? Re: Slab Costs for Site witl Fall 3Jan 15, 2010 3:51 pm 360 sq mtrs with out a plan is full of unknowns but you would be looking around 40k(split level) Where you are coming from is where you are going to... I've got a challenge here. Background is the builder has cut too deep for the slab and the slab is now below the very substantial retaining wall. It's failed occupancy… 0 18375 Thank you Splashers. Tomorrow I might check if I can get a few packs of 300x300 in the same tile finish. It may be good to use these could in the shower recesses. I'm not… 4 4671 I am not sure whether Perth has its own way of doing things in regards to this. Most of Perth has class A (sandy soil), except for some areas near rivers or hills. 2 13063 |
