Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 11, 2010 8:55 pm how would the builder fix missing footings?? I have been in my house 6 months now. In the contract it was stated "drainage as required". The builder said I didnt need any drainage, despite the mud slush at the back of the house and the same behind the garage. Now as a result of not having drainage the water has washed away the footings at the highest front side of the house and caused the bricks to drop a little and a crack in the bay window wall. The other thing I wanted to know is that if the builder stated daddo to the garage and didnt put any in, should I have been credited?? Thanks in advance Re: missing footings... & questions... 2Jan 11, 2010 9:11 pm Sounds like your builder is in big trouble. I would get a building inspector to take a look. They can tell you what needs to be done and what liability the builder has.
