Nat/Dandav - WOW so close and you will finally be in your houses. Its great news. Lot 306 - How is it living in the Range? Our Neighbour is looking to be moving in late this month or early next month too. Catlover - its such a good feeling when the tree removal permit comes through, I remember we were so excited when we received ours. We actually used Mates Rates Tree Removal for our trees and we thought they were great. As for us, can't say we have seen much movement on our house in the last month. Still have delays with our staircase and all our joinery I reckon we will be lucky to see any of that before December and we are not hearing much from our SS (which I reckon is a sign that we can comfortably say we have no chance of moving in before Christmas + our Builders Head of Construction also thought there was no chance of this 3 weeks ago). Have to go back to the Developer for Design Approval as our builder documented our house wrong so we now have to change the render colour, finish to our columns, paint colour etc - FRUSTRATING!!!! and extremely dissapointing and to top all of that off we have bee's living in our two front columns because our builder didn't think that two large holes in our columns where they brought through power could ever be an issue (although we told him 2 months ago that this exact thing would happen if he did not fill them up). Enough of a rant from me anyway Claire and Greg #34 The Range Blvd Blog : http://cleoontherange.blogspot.com/ PCI-27th January 2012 Final Inspection-24th February 2012 Settlement-.....booked for 28/2 with moving on the 29/2 Re: The Range Estate - Croydon.....Anyone else Building ther 1076Oct 21, 2011 9:27 am That's terrible news xdc. I can tell you're not impressed with your builder and I can fully understand why. Design re-approval at this stage. wow. Feel free to rant whenever you need it!!! Great to hear that some folks are already in from Stage 3 and others are soon to be in. Ours is coming along well with the tiling finished yesterday and the kitchen all completed - minus the splashback that goes in right at the end. More painting to be done, carpets and then electrical fit-off. Excellent chance that the house will be finished by mid November with then QA inspection, PCI and fixing any last minute bits but we're still hopeful of being in around early December. Good luck with your builds, everyone. Council have dug their heels in and now we are having to get an aborist report done. So far, not looking good! Did you have to get a report done? Has anyone else had problems with their tree permits????? Baffles me that you purchase a block in an Estate which has been approved by Council, yet you can't build your house on it because they won't let you remove a tree! Anyway....... enough ranting.... Hope everyone else is stage 8 and 11 are moving forward!!!! Bring back the sunshine! I think it was standard requirement when we were doing it. If you already have a tree lopping company ready to go, they usually have an arborist on staff and can do these reports. Ours did. He basically had to state that the tree's were not a significant species and, in our case, one of them was in poor condition and would have to be removed soon due to rot in any case. Our Tree removal guy is also doing the aborist report! One tree (in my eyes) is not significant, however the other one could be a problem. Its a great tree. Just not where we want one!
