Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 12, 2013 9:29 pm Hi All
We are getting ready to start building on our block now the wedding is over and have tided up our original floor plan to the version below. We still need to decide window placement and sizes some small details like length of stair run but looking for general feedback on the floor plan, good or bad as we are getting a draftsmen to draw this up very soon ready to sent to council for DA. Also after opinion how to make the front facade work nicely with a small porch and stairs. Not sure if will have the front door set in the hallway say 1m or so or if should extent the garage. Any suggestions would be great. Any pictures you have of your raised double storey house facade with front stairs would be even better.. We will be building on bearers and joist as we need to build 1.0m above natural ground level, so the slab for the garage will be on the ground then up 3-4 stairs in to the house. Block is North East facing. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/706/5w8k.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/51/ie1w.jpg/ Thanks like always.
