Re: Vundaful's House - Let's get Landscaped... 725May 28, 2010 2:13 pm I can't remember the name of the handles sorry, we picked them out from our Big Red Book so I'd have to check up when we get home. A friend commented that she really liked the look of them, and they felt nice and solid when turning Our internal doors are smooth, our prestart lady talked us out of woodgrain because it supposedly isn't very fitting with our modern decor BUT if I could go back I'd get the woodgrain The internal smooth finish is fine, but to me the slight depressions in the panel stand out more, making it look less solid than our woodgrained patterned doors at the rental looked. Re: Vundaful's House - Let's get Landscaped... 726May 28, 2010 3:07 pm I am a bit lost as we wanted all the woodgrain but they dont do the french doors in the same finish so I thought maybe it would look funny if I had two differently :/ I love the look of the handles, I want something like that! Are they the shiny silver or the satin finish? I have my prestart book in front of me and they look like Elena Lever? Coincidently what I have chosen! We're awesome rhi3384 I am a bit lost as we wanted all the woodgrain but they dont do the french doors in the same finish so I thought maybe it would look funny if I had two differently :/ I love the look of the handles, I want something like that! Are they the shiny silver or the satin finish? They're shiny chromy silver - we went shiny for all our fittings and options. If your french doors are mostly glass I don't think having smooth/woodgrain would clash Re: Vundaful's House - Let's get Landscaped... 729May 28, 2010 3:28 pm We are also having Elena levers-the 700 in Satin Chrome! Different builder but same great taste! I love the Elena handles. It wasn't in our range. We're having Liana in satin chrome finish. DH chose them because they're 1.5cm longer and he figures we need all the leverage we get as we get older Handover February 2011 Happy with our home Re: Vundaful's House - Tiling finished! Flooring Chosen! 737Jun 24, 2010 9:24 pm Vundaful! Uh oh, I'm backflipping over the floor choice now After doing some hardcore research (intensive Google workouts ) my initial niggling worry that the Dark Varnished Cherry laminate would be too plasticy pink has become a reality. Luckily a fellow H1er was able to provide me some pictures of her Quickstep laminate in the colour that has become my obsession in the last few days: Natural Varnished Oak Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It's not as pink as the cherry, and I much prefer the wood grain of the oak. The colour has the warmth that I wanted, but will work peacefully with more hues than the strong cherry red I think. So I need to ring my poor flooring guy and let him know that I'm going to have a princess moment and change the laminate flooring colour Luckily he doesn't need to put the order in until a week or two before laying, and it's in the same range as the original one. What you guys reckon? Old choice: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Love the chosen floor, which category of quick-step is it? Interested in knowing what colour the greyish colour is. Also is that the colour of your carpet? I think it looks superb. Oh the handles are definietly "Elena" ones.
