Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 05, 2010 12:52 pm As part of our new home to be built, we are looking to construct a new 3 car garage. The garage is large in size, 10m wide by 7m deep. We would like to design the driveway leading into the garage such that there is sufficient room to turn the car around as we reverse out of the garage, the intention being you can then drive forward out of the driveway, onto the street. My question is, how much room do we need to allow near the garage to allow a large car to comfortable reverse into and then turn? I hear different things from different people, and have not been able to find any standards for this. Our current provision is 4m wider than the garage, and 4m in front of the garage.
