Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jan 01, 2010 10:23 am Hi All, We are building in an area that only has bottled gas available. I was hoping people could help me with suggestions on cost effective heating solutions for our house. My ideal was going to be ducted heating but I was told not to bother on bottles, Is this correct. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Our house is going to be about 35sq living area. Cheers............ Re: Help! Need suggestions for heating with only bottled gas. 2Jan 01, 2010 10:41 am Bottled gas for ducted heating simply isn't workable. Have you looked into hydronic heating? I think it may be expensive to install, but it works a treat. Mrs B has it in her lovely big double storey house. You could send her a PM, I'm sure she'd be happy to give you the low-down on how it works, cost, etc. Sorry, I can't help with other suggestions - I've always had gas heating in one form or another.
