Our experience with NBG and our builder has been incredibly time consuming, frustrating and disappointing. I have never come across a company with poorer communication and accountability in my life. As for the comment 'people expect too much of builders' - here's what I expect: - good, open, honest and timely communication - accuracy and attention to detail when dealing with drawings, quotes and contracts - that things are delivered or completed as promised - if there are delays or problems these are communicated - that the build progresses as a reasonable rate, per contract timeline - that building materials such as windows, doors and timber are not left sitting exposed to the elements for months (causing things like bent roof trusses and cracked, split, water damaged reveals) - that all work completed is of a good standard - that the site doesn't look like a bomb has hit it - that the building site is secure None of the above has occurred in our case (I'm not saying this is the case for everyone). I would NEVER use them again, I would advise against anyone else doing so.
