Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 482Mar 15, 2011 8:49 pm Hey CC101, We havent moved in yet so still not in that process, we did however have the timber floors laid and it looks marvellous!! Cant wait for it to be fully finished! Redink are fixing all the problems which is fantastic and we should be set very soon. The paving makes me so made as its all sinking and getting worse which makes me thing they didnt compact it all :/ so I really am hoping it all gets redone as its a horrid job! Square gutters are standard or they were for me, I would just check and maybe ask for them, cant see them being more. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 484Mar 22, 2011 8:32 pm Hey Tamallen! Hope everything your end is going good. Our house is nearly finished and starting to look like a home. If I were to rate Redink now it would be about 6.5 - 7/10. Biggest let down was trades, the rest was fantastic but trades were really bad. Time frame was below average too. Hows your build going?? Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 485Mar 23, 2011 3:28 pm I would have to agree our biggest let down is our supervisor and trades. Build is going ok, I've recently had some help from CT@RI and hopefully alot of my issues will now be resolved and taken more seriously. Hopefully keys in 2 weeks!! Are you moved in yet? Are you moved in yet? i was under the impression that redink has excellent supervisors. how wrong i was. yes ct@ri is wonderful and will solve your issues. i still has long way to go. i am towards the finalisation of costing etc. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 487Apr 11, 2011 12:46 am hi Rhi - do u know if mitering to tiling is standard or do we have to pay extra for that. i noticed on forum that with most of the builders it is standard. Any idea - did u opt for mitering or did u not bother or was that already included. Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 488May 27, 2011 12:11 am Sorry guys have been MIA, but moving with 2 little kidlets is hard work We have set up a few rooms which I will take some snaps of when we are finished and put them up for you guys Front yard has been finished today and is looking great and new furniture is slowly on its way Can't compain too much about anything, handover went okay and everything seems to be working fine. The only things we need fixing at them moment is the ensuite light switch as it keeps seizing and wont turn on and off easy and it has already been replaced, the flyscreen lock was snapped off and some plaster work. Our biggest problem at them moment is the paving its breaking away at the side we noticed and falling away which I will call them tomorrow about. I am really dissapointed with the paving as we get so many comments on how lovely the house is and they all say how bad the paving is though and that really annoys me as we can see it too but apparently it was fine when inspected by redink which is sad as they should have the highest quality, but I will have to look into where I stand with it all. Hope you all are enjoying your lovely houses and are keeping safe RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate! Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 489May 27, 2011 11:27 am What a shame about the paving. Hubby is a little concerned that ours has sunk where we drive up and down the driveway but it's not noticable to anyone but us. Hope they fix it up quick smart for ya. Where are these gorgeous floors my dear!! Must drool! Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 494Aug 26, 2013 3:17 pm Hi rhi3384' Not sure if you still check this forum. Was just wondering who did your blackbutt floors and would love to know of they are still looking so good? Thanks My build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=64437 Re: Building 'The Benchmark' with REDINK Homes 495Sep 09, 2013 4:06 pm Hi Tracyw, Thanks, our blackbutt flooring was done by woodstock flooring in osborne park. It was around $120 for install and lay with skirting. We opted for the blackbutt feature and better grade with a semi gloss. After 2 years with 2 small kids with toys and everyone walking around in shoes they still look great! The feature grade with the semi gloss really hides any scratches as you tend to focus on the knots in the floors rather than the gloss Hope this helps RHI - BALDIVIS PERTH 2005 Bought/Finished WA Housing Centre Home 2010 Building the Benchmark with REDINK Homes in The Avalon 2013 Building the Michigan with Cont3nt Living In Highbury Estate!
