Most of what I imagined has turned out the way I expected it to be except in my imagination there were better decorative pieces in the house .... have to wait until the landscaping is done before I can do that You're so lucky to have the alfresco and driveway area done ... looks fantastic, LOVE the path and the tiling at the front Re: Our Topaz in 2010 FURNISHED!! pg 8 164Aug 20, 2010 12:53 pm 2pais @n&n02 yes we have to pay extra to get front fence and gates. Thanks 2pais. The fencing guy did tell us that but I just wanted to double check - lol!! Oh and you mentioned about posting landscaping photos too.... Have not yet decided on what to plant in the backyard. Thinking of palms, murrayas, lillypillies etc to cover the fence line. They did a great job with your landscaping. Your house is so nice 2pais and you have so much space in your backyard too. Ha, ha, you should see our yard – we have nothing left – lol!! Did you have to upgrade any landscaping out the front or is that the standard amount that p++t do? Yay, can’t wait until they do ours!! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 landscaping pics 170Aug 30, 2010 9:26 am Really great start. Going to look great when you get some growth on the front yard. NO EXPECTATIONS, NO DISAPPOINTMENTS! Space in backyard is mainly for our dog P**t only gives landscaping upto our boundary ie, upto the mailbox. Anything further then that you have to pay. We had our lawn laid upto the kerb by them so paid extra for it as all our lawn was dead. U may not need to do it if the lawns in reasonable condition and will regrow. Re: Our Topaz in 2010 landscaping pics 173Sep 01, 2010 2:23 pm 2pais Im not 100% happy with the landscaping but wanted it done and out of the way. Can always change it at any stage Oh really, what don't you like? It honestly looks really good!! I had the landscapers phone me yesterday and they told me to check out what they've done around the area to get an idea of what we might like and then we can let them know. I've got no idea at this stage though . Also, we had the front of our house rendered yesterday . You should check it out and let me know what you think! I reckon it looks heaps better! The painters will be back next week to paint and then we can finally do driveway and landscaping. Yay!! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 landscaping pics 174Sep 01, 2010 9:04 pm Im unhappy with the plants I selected for my garden. I feel i should have put 3 or 4 plants in the garden bed under the window, it looks a bit bare to be. Im not very good at selecting plants i like so many of them really hard to choose. When we go for walks i often comment to DH "O look their garden is so nice we should have done that or whats that plant that looks so nice etc etc" Good idea to take a walk or drive by around the estate and if you like any particular garden or plant make a note of the house and tell the landscaping guy. Did he mention to you to check out the plants available on the aspley nursery website? Re: Our Topaz in 2010 landscaping pics 176Sep 02, 2010 8:42 am Just remember that it is better to underplant initially so that your plants have room to grow......you can always make changes down the track- that's what gardening is all about! Hmmm, don't think he did - but I'll be sure to have a browse on there. 2pais, what kind of plants are on your front lawn - the ones on the boundary between you and your neighbor? I like them for the plants I was planning on getting near our front windows.
