I heard from our neighbours that there is currently a two week wait for fences. So I sent my application in earlier this week as apparently you don't need to reach PCI to have fencing done and then they will hold my form on file until I forward my PCI certifcate and then when they have this they can start arranging the landscaping!! I think the reason being from what i have seen is that a lot of properties have no access to back for the landscaper to fill backyard soil. So they are collaborating with the fencing guys and doing the backyard first before fences are put up. This is for those people who are getting the backyard landscaping done by the same guys. We just got the retaining wall put down on our block and I've now realised just how little room we are left with! Oh well, less to turf and garden I 'spose. DH is thrilled. We had a large block at our old house so the yardwork used to take him 4 hours at a time so he's stoked with the size of our yard in this place!! Is it really quiet in our area? And how are you settling into your new home? Oh I just can't wait to move!! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 Pre-move photos Pg 8 151Aug 12, 2010 10:12 pm Thanks Dee and n @n&n02, now i think we should have built a bigger home then we would have had a smaller garden. O well! we love gardening so are happy to have a reasonable backyard. I think the area is quite at the moment coz not all houses are completed yet, lot of vacant land around. Must wait and see once the estate is complete. We are settling in Ok at the moment. Thanks for asking. Well you dont have long to go n. Re: Our Topaz in 2010 BLINDS pg 8 153Aug 13, 2010 8:30 pm Nice blinds! They look great! I haven't bought any of mine yet . I think I'm going to wait until the house is finished and then go from there. Work out exactly what I want. Oh and I love your tiled entrance. What a great feature - looks fantastic!! Have they given an update on when they'll be getting around to putting your gardens in? Look forward to seeing pics when it's done! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 BLINDS pg 8 154Aug 13, 2010 9:33 pm I think it is a good idea to wait until you move in so you know what exactly you want, the type, colour etc. We got the blinds installed after handover but before we moved in. The measure done long before that coz they need time to order it in. Our back yard and front yard grass is in. The front garden plants will be in mid-end next week. Just got the plant list and design given to us today. We are doing the back garden plants ourselves. Our fences are all up. There is a 5 day wait period for the gates. So fingers crossed by the end of next week we will all be done! Re: Our Topaz in 2010 FURNISHED!! pg 8 156Aug 16, 2010 8:30 am Wow!!! It looks fantastic!! You have chosen some great colours to accessorise with!! I love the furniture in your sitting room too! Also, just a question on side gates - are these included in that package with p++t or do we just arrange to pay extra to the fencing people to put them up? Re: Our Topaz in 2010 FURNISHED!! pg 8 157Aug 16, 2010 8:50 am Oh congratulations on how well it's all come together! We are glad our furniture all fits in. In need of a nice black leather lounge and a good music system for our family room. Oh and a plasma will do just fine. But that will have to wait:( First on the list is the dish washer. I know I dont own one yet! Hopefully this Christmas. Have been hinting to DH.
