My neighbour who is at the corner has asked for my "no objection" so he could move his house closer to the boundary line (2.5m and he has a water tank on the side too). I am not too sure what the council requirement is in this case (3m if I am not wrong). I don't know what to say to him as I don't know if I should agree. The way I see it, it could reduce my resell value in the future if the neighbour is too close, but if I said no it would potentially be hard to face each other later (I am also building and will deal with him about the fence later on). One of my friend said I could ask for something in return (eg: ask him to pay for the fence all by himself). Could anyone please comment/recommend on this situation.
Thanks very much.
