Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 18, 2009 11:39 am Hello to all, I have been a keen follower of the forums on the site for a while now. We are building Lexington Q2 with Henley and the process started mid Oct. We were looking for house with every builder until the henley displays. We browsed nearly every house in caroline springs, and the hopes of finding a good house were fainting, our feet hurting of walking and bodies tired . There was only 1 house left in the block yet to be seen 'lexington', when my wife said that its enough, and we should give the house hunt some break, as we are not finding anything that appeals. Well its only the last house left, i said....lets see while we are here and then we will go back.... As soon as i stepped into lexington, a ray of joy sprung in my heart ...i liked the entry, and i knew straight away that this is my dream home ..........we were both exited and started stepping through the house and found it more and more suitable to our needs and liking.........well and from thereon its been a ride. We thought to go ahead with Q2, because 1 we were getting alfresco with it, and 2 it was a bit cheaper than the Q1. Although we felt that the bedrooms in Q2 were smaller than what we want, so ended up doing an extension to the back of the house to increase all bedrooms by 1.2 m ..... We finally signed in the contract yesterday....and now waiting on the land to release before the joy ride begins again. The land will be released in March 2010, so it gives us a couple of months to get ourselves back on track and save a bit more, before the big hammer drops on us ... I will keep you guys updated on the dream house journey as it continues. Also keep me posted if anyone is building with henley and how have their experience been. I'll be happy to give my colours for interiors if anyone is interested... I have got the facade drawing of my house scanned as a jpg, and will like to know if someone can photoshop my drawing and fill in the colours for me please. It will be great to see how will the house look from the front.... House: Lexington Q2 with Fiesta Facade @Manor Lakes Builder: Henley Stage:

The Lexington is just beautiful I love the big dressing room! Can't wait to see it all unfold for you. We are building with Henley too and have found them to be really good. Re: Building Lexington Q2 with Henley... 5Dec 19, 2009 6:38 pm Hi there, I also loved the house at Caroline Springs but it wouldn't fit on my block. I have just finished building with Henley and think they are fantastic. We have a couple of minor issues just moving in yesterday but they are being fixed asap before the Xmas break. You will find them helpful so long as you are friendly to them and respectful if anything unplanned happens. If you treat them well they will look after you. Best of luck and look forward to seeing your house come together. We also signed our first lot of documents in Dec, we haven't signed any contracts as of yet. How many days do you have to start building before they will raise the prices? Did you put a clause in your contract in case it went over the designated time? I'm just a little worried that we won't be able to start in time if the land has any delays and I don't want to have to pay the extra percent each month that some people get charged Looking forward to seeing facade pics and any others that you have on colours or your plan As I said in my thread, great to have the same house to follow Bek I'm back Re: Building Lexington Q2 with Henley... 9Mar 24, 2010 12:08 am as promised, here is my first link........its my facade.... http://s913.photobucket.com/albums/ac34 ...
