Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 17, 2009 9:36 pm Hi everyone!!! Just a question... I'm a bit confused. Our cabinets are in but I've got no floor tiles yet. Is that normal???? Some people thought I'd have a floor before cabinets and that they would go over the tiles. Is that the way it goes??? Thanks Re: Kitchen before tiles???? 2Dec 17, 2009 9:44 pm Nope. Tiles are usually done after cabinetry. It's easier to disguise floors that aren't quite level and to give a neat finish in dishwasher spaces etc, and around the base of your cabinets.
