If they reach 360 days without finishing, I think you can tell them to stop work and you can get another builder to finish the house. I think?! Well, there was something along those lines in the Domestic Building Contracts Act. But I don't know anyone who's actually done it though Re: Longridge Madison - sigh... 299May 11, 2010 12:17 am pharley My kitchen cabinets were installed 7 months ago, and I'm still not in my house Wow, just read your blog and can't believe how bad a time you've had with your house. Very amusing writing and pictures on your blog btw Have you discovered any useful techniques for hurrying along your builder or at least to give you an updated timeframe for when things will be completed? Re: Longridge Madison - sigh... 300May 11, 2010 10:05 am Pharley, you make our build seem like a holiday compared to yours, yet you do it with outstanding style and humour!! I think you've just officially become my hero. I hope your house is ready for you soon. Despite the unbelievable incompetence that seems to be so proudly displayed by your builder, it looks like it will be a superb home when you finally get it. Gorgeous selections, very stylish and sexy! Yay you =) All the best |
