Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Dec 15, 2009 6:31 pm We paid the $1k deposit and another $3000 when we signed off on the preliminary contracts. We have our appoint booked for the 5/1 to sign contracts Our land settled a couple of weeks ago and we pretty much put all our money into the land loan. I didnt even think that maybe they would want more money when we went to sign the 'real' contracts! Is there an expectation to pay more then? Or is it only when you start building. But we will borrow from the inlaws for 4 weeks Re: how much do you pay M3tr!con when signing contracts? 7Dec 17, 2009 3:59 pm I found M to be very accommodating with letting us pay the deposit later after contract signing. And we didn't even need to delay. We ended up paying it about 2 months after signing.
