Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Jul 19, 2007 8:55 pm We have been given a date for a pre handover inspection, with the final handover tentatively scheduled for approximately two weeks later. We have had a lot of problems with our builder and would like to get a private inspector to go through the house with us to pick up any problems/faults that we may miss. Can anyone recommend a firm in Brisbane, and should we get them out for the pre handover inspection or just the final one ???? :? :? So what do the competant inspectors agree to do? Nothing? well, thats the impression he gave. He said it was just a rort between the inspector and the site supervisor. I might give another one a call, see what they say. Our Adenbrook home was completed in September. If you already have a contract, is the inspection cost stated in there? If not they would be forced to issue you a variation which you could of course object to. 12 25883 I would send it to the certifier who is technically your representative and working on your behalf not the builder's 1 2278 You have mandatory building inspections and privately engaged building inspections.
